Consequences of a cyclone on Sakhalin

On Sunday October 17, Sakhalin was influenced by a cyclone that brought snow and hurricane winds to the north of the island. The wind uprooted trees and blew up roofs. Due to the collapse of the roof of the city of Aleksandrovsk-Sakhalinsky, two people were killed. The power supply was cut in 18 localities, around 10,000 people were left without electricity. On Sakhalin, restoration work continues to eliminate the consequences of a powerful cyclone.
