Head of EMERCOM of Russia Yevgeny Zinichev suggested that heads of regions in the Far East evacuate tourists from the sea coast in connection with the ; approach of the typhoon, writes TASS with reference to the press service of the department.
The Minister also stated on the need to check the readiness of emergency rescue teams for a possible response to a disruption in the functioning of the survival facilities of the population, the presence and operational condition of emergency power supplies and stocks of material reserves.
The appeal of the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was sent to the heads of the Khabarovsk and Primorsky territories, the Amur regions and the Jewish regions, as well that at the Ministry of Energy
According to the ministry's forecasts, a cyclone is expected to arrive in Chinese territory from August 7 to 9. Up to 110 millimeters of precipitation can fall per day with winds of up to 30 meters per second.
Rescuers in the Far East regions have been placed on alert maximum. Stocks were created to deal with possible emergencies. Repair and restoration crews have been alerted, storm water inlets and storm sewers are being cleaned up.
