Military chaplains need to raise their salaries. This was stated in an interview with RIA Novosti by the Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Property, Land and Real Estate Relations Sergei Gavrilov.
He also called for the #39;help for large families of military priests, for example, in the event of the loss of a breadwinner.
The interlocutor of the agency clarified that ;today there are about 200 military priests in the Russian army, thanks to whose work the number of religious servicemen is increasing.

Full-time priests hold the post of deputy commander for work with the religious military with a salary of 13,770 rubles, in addition, they are entitled to a monthly payment of 100% of the salary “for complexity, tension and special working hours”.
Meanwhile, dioceses may also encourage military priests as per the decision of the diocesan bishop of the diocese.
Previously, analysts predicted that actual salaries of Russians this year would increase by 3-3.5% or even more.
