State Duma may pass law on fines for throwing animals on streets in spring

The bill on the introduction of fines for throwing away or getting rid of pets could be adopted by the State Duma; State this spring, reports RIA Novosti with reference to the first deputy chairman of the committee on ecology, Vladimir Burmatov.

“Homeless dogs were once domesticated. And there should be a responsibility for those who throw animals on the street. It will be seized. We hope that our proposal for fines of up to 30,000 rubles for those who got rid of pets will be adopted in the future close, in the spring session, — the problem of stray dogs attacking people Changes will be developed in conjunction with regions, animal rights advocates x and regulatory authorities. 

Recall that cases of stray dog ​​attacks on people have recently become more frequent in the country. In particular, on the facts of such incidents in the regions of Kemerovo, Sakhalin, the Kamchatka Territory and the Jewish Autonomous Region, the head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed to carry out checks.
