Employers have been urged to telecommute as many employees as possible

The Ministry of Labor of the Russian Federation has offered employers to transfer as many employees as possible to remote work due to a sharp increase in #39;coronavirus incidence in recent days, reports TASS with reference to the press service of the department.

“As part of the multiple increase in the incidence of COVID-19, the Russian Tripartite Commission for the Regulation of Social and Labor Relations recommends transferring the maximum number of employees to remote work. The relevant document was approved at the RTK meeting on January 28, 2022,” — The Ministry of Labor said in a statement.

The department clarified that organizations themselves must determine the number of employees able to switch to remote work – Currently, around 3 million people are working remotely, at the same time their income should not suffer if they continue to perform the required number of tasks.

“All issues of organizing remote (remote) work are regulated by the Labor Code of the Russian Federation. The corresponding changes came into effect on January 1, 2021, », — recalled the press service.

In the past 24 hours, a record number of coronavirus cases have been detected in Russia — more than 125.8 thousand people.
