The court sentenced the head of a company in the Altai Territory, where four people died during the melt of ice. This was reported on the website of the Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the region.
The tragedy occurred in early February in the village of Smaznevo, Zarinsky district. A mass of snow fell from the roof of the attic building. Four workers of the company fell and were crushed by snow.
The chief engineer of the company was also on the dock. The investigation and court established that the defendants were sending their subordinates to hazardous work, although they knew it was not their responsibility. The workers did not have the proper qualifications and did not receive the required training and instruction.

The court sentenced the company president to three years in prison, suspended to four years. The chief engineer was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison, suspended to 3.5 years with deprivation of the right to engage in certain activities. The court also satisfied the claims of 775,000 rubles, which will be collected from the company.
