Biography & nbsp;
Timofey Georgievich Marzoev was born on May 10, 1916 in the village of Verkhniy Mizur (an abolished village in the Alagir Gorge in North Ossetia). In 1921 the family moved to the town of Alagir (now the administrative center of North Ossetia).
& nbsp; At 15, Timofey found himself without a mother. The family had six children & nbsp; & ndash; three boys and three girls, the older sister replaced the mother for the children. The family raised cattle, worked in the garden. After the start of the Great Patriotic War, Marzoev was drafted into the ranks of the Red Army. At the time of his call to the front, in August 1942, he was working in a lead-zinc factory, was an instructor for the regional party committee.
In the ranks of the Soviet Army, he fought until May 1945, participated in the liberation of the Caucasus, fought in Ukraine, Moldova, Romania, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia. He reached Austria, where he met victory.
