Makes noise. Unmanned aerial vehicle acoustic detector tested in Russia

In Russia, they tested the Ataka-Shorokh Acoustic Reconnaissance Module, capable of detecting enemy reconnaissance drones at long range with sound. The equipment is designed to protect military, special and civilian objects from unauthorized entry by small unmanned aerial vehicles. The system was developed by the state company Ruselectronics.

The Ataka-Rustle Acoustic Detection Module, as the system is officially called, visually resembles a large audio speaker equipped with large rectangular microphones. It is reported that the slightest sound of a working motor, both gasoline and silent electric, is enough for him to detect the drone. The device is able to distinguish characteristic noises even in the background of other sounds. Noise is captured using ultra-sensitive microphones that remotely detect approaching drones flying even in radio silence. The detection range of the drone can be up to 500m. This is more than enough to take object protection measures, for example putting anti-drone strike systems into combat readiness.

Testing of the Attack-Rustle system went through several modes. During the tests, the technical characteristics and parameters declared by the manufacturer were confirmed. It has been separately tested to detect unmanned objects by sound, as well as as part of other security systems. For example, it was used as part of the Attack-DBS RF detection and suppression complex, as well as its mobile version of Attack-Trophy. These devices, if a drone flying in autonomous mode is detected, block the satellite navigation channels of the unwanted vehicle.

Previously, the Russian company PPSh Laboratory; introduced the LPD-801 electronic gun. The device allows you to jam the drone control channels remotely. The weight and dimensions of the LPD-801 are comparable to those of conventional small arms.
