Football lessons have been introduced in 150 Russian schools since September 1. They will receive the third physical education class. This is reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Education.
According to the source, football lessons will appear in schools thanks to the Football module, which has been integrated into the Physics Education Subject curriculum. It was created by employees of the Ministry of Education and the Russian Football Union (RFU).
This year football lessons will appear in schools in St. Petersburg, Astrakhan, Volgograd, Nizhny Novgorod, Sverdlovsk and Yaroslavl regions, as well as the Republic of Tatarstan and the Republic of Chuvashia. The RFU will provide sports equipment to all educational institutions at its own expense.
The press service added that from 2022 it is planned to introduce football lessons in 2,500 educational institutions.
Previously, it was reported that Russian schools have plans to conduct a final test on December 1, 2021.
