The Meshchansky court in Moscow will convict on August 2 the Baring Vostok investment fund founder Michael Calvey and others accused in the embezzlement case, TASS reports.
The verdict will start at 12 noon.
During the debate of the parties, the prosecution requested six years of probation for Calvey. The prosecutor also asked the other defendants in the case to impose a conditional sentence.
Calvey said in the last word that the evidence presented in court confirms his innocence.
“ All to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that my colleagues and I acted exclusively within the framework of the law '', & ndash; Calvey said.
The founder of a large investment firm Baring Vostok and owner of a majority stake in Vostochny Bank & nbsp; Michael Calvey & nbsp; was arrested in the Russian capital in February 2019.
