The ex-governor of Belykh was accused of abuse of power

The ICR has charged the former head of the Kirov region Nikita Belykh with abuse of power.

According to the department, the ex-governor was charged with two crimes under the law article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation on exceeding official powers with serious consequences.

According to the survey, in 2015 Belykh contributed to the conclusion of a loan agreement between the Kirov Regional Mortgage Company; (JSC “ KRIK '') and one of the regional companies for 320 million rubles, then responsible for distributing this money for the needs of other legal persons.

Debt has not been returned to “ KRIK '' and the court recovered 202 million rubles from the regional government in favor of the company, which caused material damage to the regional budget.

It became known on July 6 that the former governor of Kirov became an accused in a new criminal case for office abuse.

Now Belykh is serving time for a bribe. He was detained in Moscow in the summer of 2016. The court sentenced him to eight years in a strict regime settlement and fined 48 million rubles.
