On the night of October 7, an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 was recorded in the Pakistani province of Balochistan. The epicenter of the tremors was located 14 kilometers northeast of the village of Harnay and 102 kilometers northeast of the town of Quetta (population – approximately 733,000). The source of the earthquake was at a depth of 10 km. Tremor was also felt in southern Pakistan: in Quetta, Sibbi, Pishin, Chaman and a few other towns. As a result of the tremors, many buildings were destroyed. At least 20 people died, more than 300 were injured.
