Roscosmos transmitted to the government the decision of the Scientific and Technical Council establishing a national orbital station. This was announced by the managing director of the state-owned company Dmitry Rogozin, reports RIA Novosti.

He also said that most of the work on the outer surface of the station will be carried out by remote-controlled robots. According to him, the orbit of the new station will be more “loaded with radiation” than the orbit of the ISS.
Recall that at the end of the month of July, the Roscosmos Scientific and Technical Council recommended to include work on the creation of a technical design for a new orbital station in the Federal Space Program – 2025. It was noted that the operation ISS is expected to be completed by 2028.
The station is slated to be established in two stages. In a first stage, from 2025 to 2030, Progress freighters will continue to fly to the new station. and inhabited Alliances. It is expected that the station will not be permanently inhabited, but visited by teams of 2 to 4 people.
