“As of January 28, vaccination with the first component carried out 83,674,549 times, full cycle vaccination — 79,269,115 times. The level of herd immunity in Russia is 64.4%, &mdash said Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova.

She said five regions had reached the required level of 80% — Sevastopol (89.8%), St. Petersburg (85.3% ), Karelia (84.2%), Murmansk region (80.5%) and Chukotka (80.3%).In Sevastopol and Chukotka, the level of herd immunity decreased by 0.7 pp during of the week. and 0.3 pp respectively.

“The greatest decrease in the level of herd immunity is observed in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug (by 3.6 pp) , the Chechen Republic (by 2.8 pp), Moscow (by 1.8 pp) and the Moscow region (by 1.4 pp)”, & mdash; said Golikova. She clarified that when calculating the level of immunity, the number of recovered, vaccinated and revaccinated Russians is taken into account.

Recall that on January 28, 98,040 new cases of coronavirus infection were detected in Russia, which was a record number since the start of the pandemic.< /p>
