Plot Spread of a new strain of coronavirus “omicron”
In Uzbekistan, a new omicron strain of coronavirus was found in a foreign citizen arriving in the country, reports the state health ministry.
“ New omicron strain '' of a foreign citizen who arrived in our country, was determined on January 7 of this year. Precautions taken & raquo ;, & mdash; said the ministry.
Earlier, the 'Omicron' strain found in Kazakhstan and Armenia.
On January 6, Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko said that the omicron strain began to be detected in Russians who have not left the country.
Previously, associate professor of the Department of Infectious Diseases at RUDN University Sergei Voznesensky said that an increase in the incidence of coronavirus in Russia in January is likely due to a new strain. However, he suggested that the number of serious illness cases would decrease.
