Hero of Russia, pilot cosmonaut Oleg Skripochka ends his career in the corps of Russian cosmonauts. This is stated on the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center (CTC) website.
It is clarified that Skripochka will continue to work at the CTC as a leading specialist in the methodological department.
Oleg Skripochka is the 107th Russian cosmonaut and the 516th cosmonaut in the world. In 1997, he was drafted into the body of cosmonauts, Skripochka carried out three space flights, was in orbit for 536 days 3 hours 49 minutes. The cosmonaut performed three spacewalks, where he spent a total of 16 hours 39 minutes.
During this time, it became known of Roskosmos' plans to develop new spaceships for the future orbital gas station.
