The Russians note that the ideal father is & mdash; someone who cares and respects the mother of their children, takes an active part in the children's lives and is a role model. For the first time, Father's Day appeared in Russia. It will be celebrated this year on October 17.
On the eve of the new date, VTsIOM in partnership with ANO National Priorities conducted a survey among the Russians, which showed that & nbsp; two-thirds of Russians (66%) know that our country has approved Father's Day, which will be celebrated every year on the third Sunday in October & nbsp; (71-73% among citizens of the older generation, 69% among women). & nbsp;
The Russians have chosen ways of & nbsp; congratulate their father on the holidays (top 5 in popularity):
- come visit and spend time at a family dinner (49%);
- be there that day, help with household chores, etc. (32%);
- give my father what he has dreamed of for a long time (23%);
- thank him for his love and care (23%);
- make a gift with your own hands (12%).
& nbsp; Our fellow citizens have appointed & nbsp; the qualities that best describe the & nbsp; modern ideal father (top 5):
- caring and respectful attitude towards the mother of children (33%);
- active participation in the life of children;
- joint search for solutions to problems (29%);
- an example to follow (19%);
- friendliness (18%) and reliability (17%).
Two-thirds of Russians (67%) believe that today a man with a small child on a playground & mdash; a familiar image, not an eye-catching exception & nbsp; (73% among 35-44 year olds, 72% among men), 31% have the opposite opinion (36% among women).
