Defense Ministry launched military satellite from Plesetsk Cosmodrome

Russian Aerospace Forces Space Forces have successfully launched the Soyuz-2.1v carrier rocket from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome in the Arkhangelsk region, reports RIA Novosti.

The RF Ministry of Defense press service reported this to agency correspondents.

According to the military department, the launch of a carrier rocket with a space satellite on board was carried out at 10:59 p.m. Moscow time on Thursday.

Currently, the military spacecraft has been successfully launched into orbit. A stable telemetry connection was established and maintained with him. The on-board satellite systems are also functioning normally.

Earlier, Roscosmos chief Dmitry Rogozin explained how Russia would react to the possible deployment of nuclear weapons by the United States in space.
