Russia and Saudi Arabia signed military cooperation agreement

Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin and Saudi Deputy Defense Minister Prince Khaled bin Salman Al-Saud signed a military cooperation agreement between the two countries.

The corresponding document was signed in the presence of the head of the Russian Defense Ministry Sergei Shoigu, who on Monday as part of the Army-2021 exhibition held a meeting with the Saudi prince.

During the talks, Shoigu confirmed the commitment of the Russian side in the dynamic development of military-technical cooperation (CTM) with Saudi Arabia. The Minister also thanked the prince for his participation in the 7th International Military and Technical Forum of the Army 2021.

In turn, Prince Khaled bin Salman Al Saud expressed the will of the kingdom to work to strengthen cooperation with Russia, which will help jointly respond to threats and challenges.

Earlier, Russian leader Vladimir Putin, speaking at the Army-2021 forum, said that many national weapons, in terms of their tactical and technical characteristics, do not have not and will not have have analogues in the world.
