The water level of the Amur river can rise to 650 centimeters

The water level in the Amur River near Khabarovsk will rise throughout the week, by Wednesday the level could reach 650 centimeters, RT reports.

According to forecasters, a further rise in the water level is expected by 24 & mdash; August 27.

Currently the water level near Khabarovsk is 607 centimeters, which exceeds the dangerous value established for this place at 600 centimeters.

Previously, more than 24,000 people from the Amur region, Trans-Baikal and Khabarovsk territories, Jewish Autonomous Region were recognized as victims of the floods. A total of 145 settlements fell into the flood zone in four regions of the Far East, over 1,000 living quarters were unfit for life due to bad weather.
