What is the new ammunition?
The grenade contains a monolithic contact fuse, tail and warhead. Inside the tail is a stopper, a piston with a priming charge, a gas generator that ensures the departure of the warhead.
The warhead is equipped with ready-made striking elements located between the two shells, and an explosive charge. The striking elements are made of aluminum oxide ceramic. These elements are attached to the outside on a cylindrical shell using a special adhesive material, the thickness of which varies from a twentieth of a millimeter to a millimeter.
Benefits of ammunition
The main technical result & mdash; noise reduction of a shot. Silence is ensured by a special piston stroke algorithm: after firing, it moves along the internal channel of the rear section and blocks the outflow of combustion products, thus avoiding smoke, flames and loud noises. Thus, the products of the combustion of ammunition will not be released into the surrounding atmosphere, so it will be more difficult to detect them. & Nbsp;
Stealth is also achieved through a special design, in particular, the use of glue and composite material, which covers the fuse. Radio radiation passes through the entire ammunition without any reflection, preventing detection of a shot as it flies towards the target. & Nbsp;
The efficiency also increases, mainly because the materials used for the hitting part are light, which means that you can increase their number, therefore, the ammunition will become more powerful.
