Shenzhou-12 spacecraft launched with three cosmonauts to orbital station

On June 17, at 9:22 a.m. local time (4:22 a.m. Moscow time), the CZ-2F launcher with the manned spacecraft Shenzhou-12 was launched with three cosmonauts on board to the PRC's Tiangong orbital station under construction from the Chinese Jiuquan Cosmodrome in the Gobi Desert. The crew includes Chinese cosmonauts Nie Haisheng, Liu Boming and Tang Hongbo, who will return to earth in September. The missions of the cosmonauts will be to assemble and connect the equipment delivered to the station module by the freighters. The launch was China's first manned mission since 2016.
