A 3.9 magnitude tremors occurred off the coast of the US state of Florida, the earthquake was caused by an explosion on the high seas in as part of the testing of the USS Gerald R. Ford, writes Orlando Sentinel.
It is noted, that the explosion occurred near the aircraft carrier, which is 100 miles from the coast.
Tests are underway to test the impact resistance of the USS Gerald R. Ford under combat conditions. The US Navy stressed that environmental requirements had not been violated.
