Cloudy weather, snow and ice are expected in Moscow on Sunday, January 9, according to the official website of the Hydrometeorological Center of the Russian Federation.
According to forecasters, during the day the air temperature in the capital will be from minus four to minus six degrees. On Monday evening, the temperature in the city can drop to minus eight degrees.
In the Moscow region during the day it is expected from three to eight degrees of frost. At night in the area it can get colder to minus 11 degrees.
Southerly and southeastern winds can reach 11 meters per second. Atmospheric pressure will be 747 millimeters of mercury.
Earlier, the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center, Roman Vilfand, also said that a record number of dangerous weather events were recorded in Russia in 2021.
