He clarified that the time and place of Kvashnin's funeral would be determined by his family.

The general was 75 years old. He served as the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the RF from 1997 to 2004.

Previously, it was reported that the Chief of the Airborne Forces Andrei Serdyukov had become the chief of the OTSC peacekeepers in Kazakhstan.

It also became known that in 2022 the Russian Army will receive the first “ Gibka-S '' short-range air defense systems. The complexes will be installed on the chassis of the Tiger-M armored car.
