Autoexpert Igor Morzharetto did not agree with the proposal to reduce the maximum number of ppm of alcohol in the blood of drivers, reports RT.
The expert recalled that according to traffic rules it is forbidden in Russia to drive if there is alcohol in the blood. The current ppm value does not mean that the driver can drink a small dose of alcohol. It is necessary to exclude the influence of the measurement error.
“ We have the device error, as technically recorded, and it allows the presence of vapors of up to 0.16g per liter of exhaled air, approximately 0.3 ppm & # 39 ;, & mdash; Morzharetto said, adding that a similar threshold exists in many countries around the world.
Recall that the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin urged to reduce the permitted number of ppm of alcohol for drivers.
Previously, the Interior Ministry of Russia developed a project, according to which it is planned to make a number of changes to the rules for controlling drivers for the alcohol poisoning and inform them of the results of the exam.
