Former Minister of Education Vasilyeva elected President of Academy of Education

The Russian Academy of Education (RAO) is headed by ex-Minister of Education Olga Vasilyeva, reports RIA Novosti.

The presidential elections were held on June 30 at a general assembly meeting of members of the academy. Vasilieva was the only registered candidate. 109 people voted for her, against & ndash; 31. Seven votes were invalid.

Vasilieva expressed her gratitude for being elected President of the Russian Academy of Education.

The Russian Academy of Education brings together scientists working in the field of education and pedagogy. . RAO has 269 members.
