Alley of the Sphinxes opened in Luxor after restoration

The opening ceremony of the restored three-kilometer Alley of the Sphinxes, which historically linked the ancient Egyptian temples of Karnak and Luxor to Luxor, took place on Thursday in the southern Egypt, TASS reports.

Participant in the ceremony, which was broadcast on local television, became the country's president Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.

The event, designed to highlight the grandeur of ancient Egyptian heritage, lasted over two hours and ended with a colorful fireworks display.
