The Moscow Institute of Thermal Engineering (developer and manufacturer of Topol-M and Bulava ballistic missiles) has patented a method of fighting forest fires using rocket technology. A self-contained device has been patented that generates a self-foaming jet of a given multiplicity of high range. We are talking about a special “ cannon '' foam. with a rocket principle of operation, with the help of which it is proposed to extinguish fires. The innovation of the invention is that a special composition for the formation of foam is placed in an aqueous solution. As a result, the foam does not form immediately, but activates over time. A liquid solution has a greater flight range than a foam, which is why the authors believe their method of extinguishing fires is longer range, i.e. that it allows a fire to be extinguished from a greater distance.
Head of Rospatent Grigory Ivliev called the development a unique and significant technical solution to ensure the safety of life, writes Rossiyskaya Gazeta. According to him, the uniqueness of the invention lies in the fact that it allows to predefine the technical characteristics of the device, necessary to prevent or extinguish fires in hard-to-reach places.
