Russia to expand accelerated training program for blue-collar professions

The Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation plans to increase the number of industries included in the professionalism program, aimed at reducing the duration of training for specialties blue collar workers.

The head of the department Sergei Kravtsov said that 40-50% of students should be transferred to such training programs, which involves their preparation for specific tasks of industries and companies.

According to the Minister, a situation developed when many companies set up their own corporate universities, where college graduates are retrained. At the same time, the colleges themselves are catastrophically underfunded, there is no practical basis, Kravtsov said, noting that the “ Professionalism '' simply intended to solve existing problems.

The authorities want to launch the program from September 1 next year, the first 150,000 students will start their studies. It is planned to allocate nearly 30 billion rubles from the state budget until 2024 for the implementation of the project, according to TASS.

Earlier the Minister of Education said that by the end of 2024 & nbsp; sports clubs will open in all schools and nearly 6,000 swimming pools will come out.
