The Duma introduces the procedure for remote participation in judicial hearings

The State Duma has passed a bill on second main reading that guarantees the possibility of remote participation in court hearings, reports TASS.

Changes are made to the Arbitration Code of Procedure, the Code of Civil Procedure and the Administrative Code of Judicial Procedures of the Russian Federation. Plaintiffs, defendants and all those involved in the process will be able to participate in the meetings through the web conferencing system, provided that they submit a corresponding request and there is a technical possibility in the courts.

The bill makes it possible to identify the participant in the meeting using computer means that ensure the identification of a person without their personal presence. The arbitral tribunal may refuse to use the remote format for a participant in the absence of technical feasibility or as part of a closed-door procedure.

On second reading , the document was amended. One of them provides that violators to order during the meeting or those who do not obey the president's legitimate orders, after a warning, may be expelled from the room or disconnected from the videoconference.

Earlier today, the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation refused to remove the photo-fixing sign of traffic violations on the relevant request of ;a Russian.

State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin also spoke about the new laws that came into force in December. They concern the blocking of pyramid advertising sites, liability for the sale of unlabelled products and the limitation of greenhouse gas emissions.
