Amur level near Blagoveshchensk rose higher than during the 2013 floods

The level of the Amur river near Blagoveshchensk reached 837 cm on Saturday and exceeded the indicators of 2013, when one of the most severe floods occurred ; is produced in the region of Love. & nbsp;

The regional government reported that on Friday the water level in Amour reached 808cm, 8cm higher than the “ dangerous phenomenon '' bar. At the same time, on Saturday, it increased another 29 cm. According to the forecast for June 26 and 27, the water level of the river will be 820 to 850 cm. & Nbsp;

It is reported that now the forged parapet of the Amur Embankment along its entire length is covered with sandbags on three levels. The lower level of the embankment is already completely submerged. There is a very strong current on the river. Despite all this, some of the townspeople are swimming, diving into the water from the steps of the flooded amphitheater. Lots of people sunbathe on the shore, reports RIA Novosti.

Meanwhile, the city's groundwater flooded the park near the Center for Aesthetic Education.

To date, in 16 localities in the Amour region, 388 residential houses, 913 family plots are flooded, 21 road sections are partially flooded, five road bridges are flooded. 13 settlements were left without automobile communication. In total, since the start of the flood, 1,537 people have been evacuated in the region, including 432 children, reports the Regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies of the Russian Federation.

Recall that in 2013 one of the most important floods occurred in the region of Love. Then the Amur level near Blagoveshchensk reached 822 cm. The river maximum rose in 1958 & ndash; then its level was 895 cm.

Previously, an EMERCOM task force traveled to the Far East to coordinate flood control.
