Volcanic eruption on the island of Palma

The eruption of the Cumbre Vieja volcano continues on the Spanish island of Palma. Molten rock covered over 1,100 hectares of land in 10 weeks with houses, roads, power lines and irrigation pipes for the island's banana plantations. 7,000 people have been evacuated from the disaster area.

Since September 19, on the island of Palma, which is part of the Canary Islands in the Atlantic Ocean, the Atlantic Ocean Cumbre Vieja volcano eruption continues. On November 28, it was learned that new vents had opened in the volcano.
