Aleksey Aleksandrovich Druzhinin was born on February 24, 1973 in Moscow.
In 1996, he graduated from the Moscow State Law Academy with a degree in jurisprudence.
He was one of the main inspectors of the Department of control and audit of the Western Customs Administration of the State Customs Committee of the Russian Federation. .
From 1999 to 2002, Druzhinin worked as the chief legal adviser of the Center for Enterprise Transport Services of the Ministry of Railways of the Russian Federation.
In 2002-2003, he was the head of the department of regulatory and legal works and international agreements of the state institution “Centre of Brand Transport Services of the Ministry of Railways of the Russian Federation”, deputy head of the legal department of the Ministry of Railways of the Russian Federation, head of the legal department of the Ministry of Railways of the Russian Federation.
In 2004 he was appointed head of the legal department of the Ministry of Railways of the Russian Federation.
In 2004-2005 Druzhinin headed the legal department of the Federal Railway Transport Agency.
In 2005 he joined the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation. He was appointed Deputy Director of the Department of Legal Support and Legislative Activities of the Ministry of Transport.
In 2006, he took the post of deputy director of the department of state policy in the field of railway transport of the Ministry of Transport of Russia.
From March 2008 to July 2014, he served as Director of the Department of Legal Support and Legislative Activities of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation.
In December 2014, Druzhinin was appointed Deputy Executive Director of the Partnership at non-profit, then self-regulatory organization Union of Market Participants in the Services of Railway Rolling Stock Operators. (SOGT).
In June 2015, he was appointed Executive Director of SOGT.
