How was the person who destroyed the mass grave near St. Petersburg punished?

Weekly “Arguments and facts” 28. The ninth wave of bad weather. Why is there a flood in southern Russia? 07/14/2021

Recently, a crazy story happened near St. Petersburg, when the owner of the land bulldozed a war grave. Did he succeed in everything?

Expert response 0 + –

Responses Elena Tsunaeva , co-president of the Central Headquarters of the ONF, Executive Secretary of the OOD “Russian Research Movement”:

& mdash; & nbsp; During & nbsp; during the Great Patriotic War near & nbsp; village of Telman near & nbsp; Kolpino in & nbsp; Leningrad region. there were bloody battles. The dead were buried in mass graves, which were covered with grass during & nbsp; 70 & nbsp; years. Person and & nbsp; could not think that this land would be between & nbsp; private hands and & nbsp; would go under construction. But & nbsp; to & nbsp; early June on the & nbsp; LLC territory “ Eureka '' heavy equipment appeared and & nbsp; began to clear space for warehouses and & nbsp; business center. The search engines that arrived on the site of & nbsp; were horrified & nbsp; & mdash; mass graves were opened, human bones were strewn on the ground, mixed with the soldier's equipment.

Search engines called the police and & nbsp; have filed a declaration with the & nbsp; committee of inquiry. A criminal case has been opened. Now, work on the territory is suspended, the leader of Eureka is under house arrest. The matter is complicated by the fact that the current laws are designed for bona fide business entities who, upon discovery of remains in their territory, inform the authorities. Alas, not all owners are like that. Apparently, it is time to introduce into legislation provisions on the compulsory inspection of territories where battles have taken place or hospitals operated, for the subject of unaccounted for military graves. And & nbsp; then & nbsp; this turns out to be nonsense: we & nbsp; let's toughen up the legislation in & nbsp; concerning the rehabilitation of the nbsp; but & nbsp; treat very gently & nbsp; those who literally base their business on & nbsp; bone.

Sea cat. For the first time a woman will be drafted into the special forces of the US Navy

A woman first passed the exam to enlist in the direction of US Navy special operations. She will pilot special forces boats and underwater vehicles, and participate in covert operations. AiF.ru found out what is known about the newcomer and other women who began serving in the US Army special units.

Who is new?

There are reports that 18 women attempted to become US Navy Special Forces fighters at different times. Of these, 14 did not complete the course, another 3 are currently in training. Today it became known that one of the women successfully completed the test course. His name has not been released, possibly for security reasons. & Nbsp;

“ New Girl & # 39; & # 39; completed a 37-week training course to become a battleship crew member. Interestingly, this is roughly the same time as motherhood. She became one of 17 sailors who graduated from high school and passed the final exam. & Nbsp;

Now she will go to one of the Navy's three special boat crews. The new recruit will take on the role of operator of the boat that carries the 'SEALs'. and secret missions at sea.

Of course, headlines, stories, movies, and even trivia are more likely to get the SEALs themselves. They are real legends. However, the crew who use ships and weapon systems in raids and covert ops must also go through a lengthy selection and training process.

The training of a future combat ship crew member takes place after the initial training camp for Navy recruiting. It includes a two-month prep course, a three-week orientation session at the Navy's Special Warfare Center in Coronado, Calif., And seven weeks in which they learn the basics of navigation. There are also basic fitness and safety training classes. At the end of those seven weeks, a 72 hour challenge called The Tour begins. This is an event that tests skills and physical endurance. This is where applicants fail most often. & Nbsp;

But that's not all. Survivors Upgrade to seven-week Basic Crew Training courses to learn combat, weapons and communication skills, followed by seven-week Intermediate Maritime courses and Survival, Dodge, and Survival training. resistance and evasion, as well as a culture course. > About 300 sailors take this course each year and only 70 complete it.

Consumables

A woman's seafaring graduation marks the breakthrough women have made in some of the military's most difficult and competitive positions. All military posts were opened to women only five years ago, and now the last strongholds have been surrendered along the way. & Nbsp;

One year ago, the first female soldier completed the Army Special Forces Elite Course and joined one of the male Green Beret teams. Another female soldier has completed her training and will report to her special forces group next month, and another will attend a military parachute school next month and then join the military.

Until now, no woman has successfully trained in Marine Corps special operations. A Marine Corps spokesperson said that since August 2016, 9 women have attempted to go through the assessment and selection process. He said 2 applicants went through the second phase but did not live up to expectations and, along with several male colleagues, were not selected to continue. However, it's not just the terrain, but the complexity of the testing as well. Only about 40% of the more than 1,200 Marines who have taken the course since 2016 have successfully completed it.

This month 2 women are enrolled in the Air Force Special Warfare Training Program, which is open to women in 2015 … One of a kind ; of them have completed an assessment and selection course and will be eligible for a special operations assignment as soon as she completes her graduation course. Another woman is in preparatory classes and has not yet passed the assessment phase.

What type of “Spectr-UF” space telescope is Russia preparing for launch?

Roskosmos and his subordinate NGO named after S.A. Lavochkin signed a contract worth 3.68 billion rubles. The money will go towards the creation of the Russian Ultraviolet Space Telescope Spectr-UF. Previously, 2.9 billion rubles had already been allocated to it.

What is this device and why is it needed?

The “Spectrum-UV” (or “World Space Observatory – Ultraviolet”) astrophysical observatory is designed to obtain images and observations in the part of the ultraviolet spectrum that is not available for ground telescopes. It will be the third device in the Spectrum series. Spectr-R was launched in 2011, Spektr-RG – in 2019. Spectr-UV is expected to be sent to space in October 2025. After him there will be another fourth project – “Spectrum-M”.

“Spectrum-UV” – “World Space Observatory” (VKO-UV), model. Photo: Commons.wikimedia.org

In terms of capabilities, Spectr-UV is close to the famous American Hubble telescope. It has only just completed its mission, and not a single space agency, except Roskosmos, is currently developing a new large ultraviolet telescope. Thus, our Spectrum-UV will be the only device in this segment of scientific research at least until 2035.

“There are even baseless feelings in the Western press that Russia will have monopoly on ultraviolet light and share it will not be, “said Mikhail Sachkov, deputy director of research at the Institute of Astronomy of the Russian Academy of Sciences, in an interview with RT .

According to the specialist, if we compare the capabilities of the Hubble and the Spectra-UF, the Russian device seems preferable: “Despite the fact that the main mirror of our device is smaller than that of the Hubble, the comparison may be in our favor. . The diameter of the Hubble's main mirror is 2.4m, while ours is 1.7m. The permeability of ours should, in theory, be less. But we create equipment later, we use a more efficient optical system, modern radiation receivers, so this difference is compensated.

We surpass Hubble in efficiency at certain wavelengths. Another plus is the orbit. The Hubble flies in low earth orbit – up to 600 km above the Earth's surface. We will fly in a 35,000 km geostationary orbit. What's the advantage? We will study the Universe without a hydrogen shell close to Earth, which interferes with observations in the ultraviolet, we will fly over most of its denser layers. “

What are its science goals?

Spectra-UV's main instrument will be an ultraviolet telescope with a main mirror 1.7 meters in diameter. The scientific task of the project is to obtain new data of a fundamental nature in several fields of astrophysics. These are the physicochemical composition of the planetary atmospheres of the solar system, the physics of stars and the phenomena found in them, the nature of active galactic nuclei, the evolution of galaxies, matter exchange processes with the intergalactic medium, properties of circumstellar matter, matter hidden in the Universe, and much more. As for exoplanets, Spectr-UF will not look for them, but it will have to observe previously discovered exoplanets in order to study their atmosphere and, in particular, to look for signs of life on them. Therefore, it is possible that if the existence of life in distant worlds is reliably confirmed, the discovery will be made by the Russian device.

Spain is also involved in the project. It provides the key elements of the Radiation Receiver and Filter set. But other countries are showing interest as well, for example Japan.

Magnificent six. US named best Russian drones

The United States has named the most promising Russian drones. The number of developments included Orion, Altius-U, Sirius, Helios, Thunder, and the Hunter. AiF.ru recalls what type of drones it is, what their capabilities are and when they will appear in service.

An article appeared in the US edition of The National Interest, the author of which reviewed six of the most promising Russian drones. & Nbsp;

First on the list is the Orion drone ('Rhythm'). The launch of serial production of these devices is scheduled for the end of this year, with export sales & mdash; for 2022. & nbsp;

Orion was created by the Kronstadt company as part of the ROC “ pacer & # 39; & # 39; under contract with the Ministry of Defense. Orion belongs to the class of long-flight medium-altitude drones. With a wingspan of over 16m and a length of 8m, Orion has a takeoff weight of 1 ton, the maximum payload of the drone is 450kg, which allows it to carry four missiles. The cruising speed is declared at 120 km/h, the maximum is unknown. The device is capable of operating at altitudes up to 7.5 km. Depending on the load and configuration, the drone can stay in the air for about a day. This device has quite high flight performance and a solid reserve of carry capacity, which makes it a good platform for placing missile and bomb weapons. & Nbsp;

A small-caliber adjustable armament was specially developed for this: the KAB-20 and KAB-50 air bombs, the UPAB-50 planning air bomb. In May, Orion carried out 38 sorties in Syria. In 17 of them it hit terrorist targets, 20 were reconnaissance, a & mdash; for other purposes. Customers overseas are already showing interest.

The second promising device included in the review is & mdash; It is an 'Altius-U' heavy drone, capable of performing a full range of reconnaissance missions. It has a large wingspan & mdash; 28 meters, & mdash; an optical-electronic reconnaissance station and a lateral radar with an array of phased active antennas. The range of the strategic reconnaissance aircraft reaches 7,000 kilometers. It has two turbodiesels and is capable of flying up to 48 hours at a cruising speed of up to 250 km/h. Its combat load reaches one ton. & Nbsp;

The third development & mdash; unmanned aerial vehicle 'Sirius' & mdash; Orion improved. It is distinguished by its large mass and size, higher speed and will receive new electronic equipment. It can perform combat missions within a radius of 1000 kilometers, the mass of the missile and the bomb charge has been increased to 300 kg. Creation of the first prototype of the new Russian attack unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) Sirius will end in 2022, and its flight tests will begin the same year. & nbsp;

Sirius belongs to the class of medium altitude unmanned aerial vehicles of long flight duration. The aircraft will receive a takeoff weight of up to 2 tons, its wingspan of up to 23 meters, the flight time is expected to reach 20 hours. The declared maximum flight altitude of the drone & mdash; 7 thousand meters, the cruising speed of the device will be 180 kilometers per hour. Sirius will be powered by two turboprop engines.

The fourth on the list is Helios, which has a wingspan of 30 meters and a mass of 5 tons. Little is known about him so far. He is capable of performing various reconnaissance missions and delivering air strikes. As radar on it, most likely, a fragment of radar for an early warning aircraft will be installed. & Nbsp;

In fifth place & mdash; “ Thunder '' high speed unmanned drone. It has a combat load of 2 tons and a maximum takeoff weight of 7 tons. The device is capable of speeds of up to 1000 km/h, the radius of use in combat reaches 700 km. & Nbsp;

In one of the variants, it will be able to carry X-38 guided missiles of the “ air '' class. area. & # 39; & # 39; Thunder drone's own shock capabilities coupled with the presence of four suspension points (two under the wing consoles and two inside the fuselage). Thunder will also be able to use a wide range of weapons, especially the new 'Product 85' aircraft guided missile; and guided aerial bombs KAB-250, KAB-500. The drone can be armed with patched aerial bombs weighing up to 500 kg, as well as the highly explosive FAB-50 aerial bomb.

“ Thunder & # 39; & # 39; will be able to control a swarm, consisting of 10 small “ Lightning '' drones in the recognition and typing configurations with the possibility of changing the task for each member of the group.

In sixth position & mdash; S-70 “ Hunter '' heavy attack unmanned vehicle. It is a stealth drone capable of operating autonomously. It can work in tandem with the Su-57 fighter, however, if communication is interrupted, the drone will continue to perform combat missions on its own. Drone 'Hunter' can enter service in 2023, it is being tested.

Too bad like a bee. In the USA, Stinger MANPADS learned to fight drones

By the end of the year, the US Army will be purchasing a bundle of “ Stinger '' Enhanced Handheld Anti-Aircraft Missile Systems (MANPADS). (English Stinger “ sting '', combined arms index FIM-92), capable of fighting drones. Approximately $ 321 million will be spent on purchasing new weapons.

A new modification of the MANPADS Stinger will receive a reprogrammable microprocessor to track air threats. This enhancement will allow the light autonomous air defense system to destroy a wider range of threats, including threats as complex and relevant to modern combat as drones. & Nbsp;

The main innovation of the modernized Stinger & mdash; it is a high performance microprocessor that will determine the type of target and select how to detonate the warhead. If it is an airplane or a helicopter, the rocket will strike the engine; if this is a small target, it will explode near the flying object. The effectiveness of this technology was confirmed by the US military in a series of military tests that ended this year. Now it has been decided to re-equip most of the military units in the new complex, which are ordered to fight air targets.

The American portable anti-aircraft missile system was developed by the American company General Dynamics. and was commissioned forty years ago. It is one of the more common MANPADS, which is in service in 30 states, as well as a number of national liberation movements and terrorist organizations. Number of Stinger missiles produced of all models exceeded 70,000.

Originally intended to destroy airplanes, but has been modernized several times, which has significantly expanded the range of its tasks. For example, this MANPADS has been given the ability to fire at unarmoured ground or surface targets, and now drones. & Nbsp;

Based on the Stinger anti-aircraft missile, guided air-to-air and air-to-ground missiles were created, which were integrated into helicopters. Based on the complex, combat modules were developed for placement on self-propelled aircraft carriers. For example, the FIM-92B missile can be launched from the installations of the M-1097 Avenger and M6 Linebacker self-propelled anti-aircraft missile systems, as well as from container launchers of a number of ships.

In the classic version, a portable anti-aircraft system that is easy to carry and operate with an infrared homing missile can be launched from the shoulder by one person. Although the standard shooting procedure requires two & mdash; the group leader and the shooter. The missile can fire at planes flying at an altitude of 180 to 3,800 meters, with the affected area of the complex being up to 4,500 meters.

Dard was used by Afghan anti-government forces to defeat Soviet planes and helicopters during the war in Afghanistan (1979-1989). The United States began delivering these missiles in the fall of 1986, during the time that the Afghan Army received around 4,000 complexes. After the war ended, the US Congress allocated $ 65 million for a MANPADS and missile purchase operation, and some of them were purchased, but up to 400 ` 'stingers' remained in Afghanistan. & nbsp;

On January 5, 1987, special forces units of the GRU of the USSR intercepted the Stinger kit, on the basis of which the development of Soviet MANPADS began.

LDPR MP proposed to cancel the exam

Member of the Presidium of the LDPR faction in the State Duma, Chairman of the Committee on Labor and Social Policy Yaroslav Nilov believes that the examination should be canceled.

In his Chain Telegram, he wrote that this form of certification is unnecessary and ineffective.

“ Does not develop thinking, reduces the possibilities for the use of intellectual resources and, as a result, leads to the degradation of the entire education system '' # 39 ;, & ndash; said the politician.

According to him, final exams are a great stress for schoolchildren, not everyone can cope with it alone. Therefore, Nilov supports the idea of organizing special consultations of psychologists for graduates during the period of USE and OGE.

Recall that the initiative to introduce such psychological consultations was taken by & nbsp; Commissioner for the rights of the child in Tatarstan Irina Volynets.

Earlier, the head of Rosobrnadzor Anzor Muzaev noted that the department is not considering the issue of cancellation review, but is ready to change the review procedure.
